Girls in ICT Competition Organized by Zee Tech Foundation

The National Girls in ICT Competition Bauchi State 2026 Demo Day, organized by ZeeTech Foundation in collaboration with partners including the Bureau for ICT and Digital Economy (BICTDE), was a remarkable showcase of resilience, innovation, and determination among young girls in technology. Representing the Director-General of BICTDE, Abba Tatabo delivered the Director-General’s goodwill message, where he commended the organizers for creating a platform that nurtures young talents and encouraged the participants to remain consistent, continue building their skills, and confidently pursue careers in technology despite challenges.

Among the standout solutions were Team Hand That Speaks, which focused on bridging communication gaps for individuals with expression challenges; First Child Care, aimed at improving child safety and wellbeing; and Tech Sis, a platform designed to empower girls through technology, learning, and connection. While these teams emerged as top performers, all participants presented impactful and thoughtful ideas, underscoring the importance of collaborative efforts in empowering young girls and driving inclusive digital innovation in Bauchi State.
